Balancing Act: The Science and Art of Facial Balancing & Harmony

Facial balancing with full face assessment is our comprehensive approach that aims to achieve symmetry and harmony of your unique facial features. This technique is great for addressing age-related changes and asymmetries without the need for invasive procedures. Facial balancing is a sophisticated overview coupled with some back engineering to deliver beautiful, natural results. Facial balance is the key to looking natural!

The process of facial balancing involves a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of your facial structure. We look at factors such as bone density loss, changes in fat distribution, skin elasticity, age and ethnic background. Our goal is to enhance your natural features while maintaining a balanced, youthful, and natural appearance. True facial balancing is a concept we use to assess proportions and angles. Facial balancing is not a buzz word in our office; it is a customized and personalized approach depending on your facial features and your desired goal. It is not simply injecting one syringe of filler into one area of the face.

Key treatments that improve facial balancing include:

Fillers: These are used to restore lost volume and enhance facial contours. Common areas treated with fillers include the cheeks, lips, jawline, and under eyes. Fillers made from hyaluronic acid are typically used for their ability to provide immediate and natural-looking results. When we assess you we are looking at the whole face from all angles. We may suggest filler in the temples, jawline or chin. Treating these areas can help restore volume, soften shadows, and enhance the profile. One of the best examples is the nasolabial fold or laugh lines. We rarely treat the area because putting filler into the fold can make it worse and unnatural looking. We will explain the reason why you are seeing this  – spoiler alert, the underlying cause is the descent of an adjacent fat pad in the midface! – and how to correct and soften by treating the cheek.

Botox and Neuromodulators: Botox helps smooth out dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements. This treatment is spectacular for the forehead and around the eyes. Neuromodulators complement the volumizing effects of fillers by smoothing the upper third of the face. Neuromodulators work very well in conjunction with other treatments and modalities.

Polydioxanone (PDO) Threads: Threads provide a lifting effect by repositioning tissue and creating a scaffolding under the skin, which encourages collagen production and results in a more lifted appearance and a firmer skin. PDO threads allow us to use less fillers and create a more lifted appearance.

MicroCoring: Address the lower third of the face where we develop Marionette lines and jowls. MicroCoring removes tissue in the area where there is lax skin

A full face assessment will address your main concerns and allow us to explain why you are seeing what you are seeing. Your treatment plan will include treatment of your main concern and other treatments that will help you achieve facial balancing. Results will be noticeable yet natural. Each treatment will contribute to an overall rejuvenated and harmonious look. The goal is to subtly enhance your natural beauty, achieving a balanced look.

More than just attaining symmetry and restoring youthful structure, facial balancing is about crafting a naturally rejuvenated appearance that aligns with your unique facial structure, especially as it evolves with age.
