Leg Vein Removal

Our 1064 Laser is fantastic for treating spider and reticular veins on the legs. Spider veins are usually small-caliber bluish or reddish veins that appear on the surface of the skin. Reticular veins are blue. We do not treat palpable varicose veins.

 

How much does it cost to have my leg veins removed?

We base the cost on how many vessels and areas we treat, and how long the procedure takes. We need to examine the vessels to determine if they are treatable. Spider veins and reticular veins are considered cosmetic and are not covered by insurance. At your consultation, we will determine the cost.

 

How do you remove my leg veins?

We the Gold standard 1064 laser that targets the blood with in the leg veins. The laser heats the vein and blood to a point where the vessel collapses and coagulates the blood.  Your body will absorb and remove the coagulated blood over the course of a few weeks.

 

How many treatments do I need?

You may need 2-4 treatments 12 -16 weeks apart to fully clear and coagulate blood vessels.  

 

How long does the treatment take?

It will take anywhere from a half hour to one hour.

 

What should I do before and after my procedure?

Please avoid direct sun exposure: stop tanning, using tanning beds or tanning creams before and after your treatment. Please discontinue use of aspirin or blood thinners for 1 week pre and post procedure. Use a broad spectrum SPF.

 

What can I expect after my leg veins are treated?

You can expect a 30%-50% improvement in the vessels with each session. Some vessels disappear immediately after treatment. Some vessels appear dark or red. Typical side effects after laser leg vein therapy include, redness and a sensation of warmth at the treatment areas. Bruising, clotting  and healing can be several weeks to several months to heal.
